that explains a lot. the high end sounds washy for me as well, and the sound is never very crisp sounding. i thought it might be an issue with my car speakers, but when I play CD's or even FM radio it sounds a hell of a lot better than the Dead station. It's really a shame because it's a great station, but the shitty audio really detracts from the experience. any idea why they stream at only 96kbps?

sure it more cost effective....but i have a very picky ear and even at 128...they would be imporving in sound....but not too much..i never understood the comprimse in sound quality but they would rather have quanity the Quality....i use Sirus for Stern and a few other stuff like comedy....i have enough tasty GD on CD and other Jam stuff on the Ipod to make me happy.

that's f'n nuts. I also heard a version of a song from Jgb I think is called Valorie? But my girlfriend had the control in the back seat. She told me this song is one of my favorites thinking it was Sugaree and I actually got stumped. Can anybody point me in the right direction for this tune? Is it even called Valorie?

Jerry Garcia - Solo Acoustic show on 4/10/82, Early Show. It has a sweet Valerie. My brother used to go out with a girl called Valerie, when she ditched him, this song helped him through those times. Something about hearing someone else's blues can put your own problems in perspective and make you feel a little better..

I don't have Sirius over here in England, but I got enough shows of my own to keep me happy and always back on the internet looking for the next one or an upgrade. Sounds like a good idea, and I would probably love to bring the DAB or Satelite or whatever- with me, but knowing about that 90-something bit rate and my desire for good clean sound, I would probably get fed up after a while.

Valerie Lyrics: Music: Hey, Valerie, baby, what's the matter with you? I did all of the things that you wanted me to I went downtown with my pocketknife Cut your other man but I spared his life Valerie, won't you be good to me? Valerie, baby, what's the matter with you? Come on, come on, baby, and tell me true Hey, now, baby, what did I do? I shot my dog 'cause he growled at you Valerie, won't you be good to me? Valerie, what's the matter with me? I never, never done you no wrong I sing the blues nearly all night long Valerie, what's the matter with me? You know I'd do anything you say I can't understand why you tell me"Please go away" I ain't afraid of the cold, cruel world outside No Chicken Little running from a falling sky The only thing troubles me is you If you leave me, what can I do? Valerie, won't you be true to me? You got me down on the knees of my shakin' feet Can't play the blues, 'cause of you I drop the beat Valerie, what's your complaint? I try to be everything I ain't Valerie, won't you be good to me? Valerie, won't you be good to me
